Why warranty matters in an auto service

Most service shops in Moldova either don't offer a warranty at all, or limit themselves to a "3-day drive-out warranty". That means if a knock comes back a week later — that's already your problem. At AutoPro we build our business on returning customers, so we provide a real warranty: in writing, in the work order, with concrete terms.

The main rule If it's a warranty case — we don't ask questions or look for reasons to refuse. We just redo it. That's the law of the service.

What the warranty covers

Labor

Warranty on the quality of work performed by our mechanics — regardless of whose parts were installed.

  • Suspension — 6 months / 15,000 km
  • Consumables replacement (oil, filters) — 6 months
  • Engine repair — 12 months / 20,000 km
  • Transmission repair — 12 months / 20,000 km
  • Electrical and diagnostics — 6 months
  • Body repair — 12 months on welding and paint

Parts

Parts installed at our service have double protection: manufacturer's warranty + ours.

  • OEM parts — 12 months
  • Brands (Bosch, Sachs, Brembo) — 12 months
  • Quality aftermarket (Febi, TRW) — 6 months
  • Consumables (oils, filters, belts) — per manufacturer's term

How a warranty case works

  1. Call or message us — describe the symptom and send the work order.
  2. We accept without queue. Warranty cases — priority, we put them in work the same day.
  3. Free diagnostics. If it's our fault — we fix it at our expense.
  4. Loaner car — if the repair takes more than 2 days (for regular customers).
  5. If a part was defective — we exchange it under the manufacturer's warranty, reinstallation — free.

When the warranty does NOT apply

To be fair — we openly state when warranty doesn't work:

  • If you brought your own part (warranty on labor exists, on the part itself — no)
  • If after our repair you went to another shop and they touched the same area
  • If the car was used improperly (e.g., drift, racing)
  • If there was mechanical damage after repair (accidents, impacts)
  • If service intervals weren't kept (oil not changed on time, etc.)

What we do for reliability

  1. Test drive after repair. For complex jobs — mandatory test drive with the diagnostician.
  2. Double-check. Complex jobs (engine, transmission) are checked by a second mechanic before delivery.
  3. Video report. For major repairs we film the process — you see exactly what was done.
  4. Operating recommendations. After repair you receive instructions — what to do and not to do for the first 1,000 km.

Frequently asked questions

Is the warranty written or verbal?
Only written. All warranty conditions and terms are stated in the work order you receive after repair. Nothing works on verbal promises.
What if a warranty case happens far from Chișinău?
Contact us — we'll help solve it remotely. If repair has to be done on-site, agree it with us and keep all receipts and photos — we'll compensate reasonable expenses.
What if the part is mine?
Then warranty applies only to our work. If the part failed due to manufacturer fault — apply for warranty with the seller. We'll help diagnose the cause.
How long does a warranty repair usually take?
Depends on complexity. Simple cases (re-tightening, replacing a defective filter) — 1–2 hours. Complex ones — up to 1–2 days. We schedule without delays.
Can the warranty be extended?
For regular customers we offer extended warranty up to 24 months on suspension and engine. Condition — regular service intervals with us.
